The List of the largest companies in the People's Republic of China is a published list of the largest Chinese companies that has been compiled by the business magazines, "Fortune" and "Forbes".
"Fortune" list
The annual rankings are based on the Fortune Global 500 list of the largest 500 companies in the world. Listed also are the headquarters location, the net profit, number of employees and the industry sector. The figures are in millions of US dollars and of the fiscal year 2006. "Forbes" list
The Forbes Global 2000 ranking is based on the annual list of the largest 2,000 listed companies in the world, taking into account a multitude of factors including sales, net profits, assets and market value. Each factor was also given a weighted rank in terms of importance. In the table below are the headquarters location, and industry. The figures are in billions of US dollars and are of the fiscal year 2006.
