One Eyed Jack (video game)

One Eyed Jack (video game)

One Eyed Jack is a fictional pirate who was the main villain in the 1994 video game Alone in the Dark 2 and he also appeared in Jack in the Dark as a jack-in-the-box replica of his true self.

One Eyed Jack and his band of bootleggers kidnapped the child Grace Saunders and kept her prisoner in their mansion Hell's Kitchen, where she was to be used in a sacrificial ceremony. Grace was eventually rescued by Edward Carnby, who in turn was captured by Elizabeth Jarret. Coincidentally, Grace was temporarily freed at he same time he was caught.

One Eyed Jack explains to Carnby in a classic story form that he once defeated his mortal enemy Captain Nicols and made him walk the plank. Nicol's sword remained stuck on the deck of his ship, the Flying Dutchman, which One Eyed Jack later claimed as his own. Nicol's sword is probably the only effective way of matching One Eyed Jack's otherwise unrivalred sword skills, and can be used against him during the final confrontation.

After a tiresome battle with One Eyed Jack, Carnby destroys his ship, just as Grace and Carnby make a daring escape in a rowing boat.

In Alone in the Dark 3, Carnby comes across his grave.

Assosiates: Elizabeth Jarret.
