S. U. Deraniyagala

Dr. Siran Upendra Deraniyagala (born 1942) is presently the Director-General of Archaeology, Sri Lanka (May 20 2005). He is the son of Dr. Paul E. P. Deraniyagala.

Education:M.A. Cambridge University; Postgraduate Diploma, Institute ofArchaeology, London University; Ph.D. Harvard University.
