Deraniyagala

Deraniyagala is a small town which belongs to the Kegalle district in the Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka.The area consists of five administrative areas, namely Dehiovita, Yatiyanthota, Kuruvita,Eheliyagoda and Ambagamuwa. There is a significant Tamil population in the aria. Most of the surrounding areas are mostly inhabited by Sinhala. Farming is the way of living for majority of the people. The main source of food is from rice fields.The crops include Rice, Tea, Rubber, Pepper, Cardamom, Nutmeg and various types spices.
