Institute for Extended Learning

Institute for Extended Learning, or IEL, is located primarily in Spokane, WA and is part of the Community Colleges of Spokane.

The IEL is group of Branch Satellite campuses around Spokane and Eastern Washington with over 37 facilities available. Most of the curriculum consists of Basic Education, Job Training and College transfer courses. The IEL, as one of the three institutions of the Community Colleges of Spokane District, is committed to helping students reach their education goals, whether they are interested in earning a degree or certificate, learning a new skill or enhancing current one, or simply taking a class for pure pleasure. In collaboration with Spokane Community College and Spokane Falls Community College, the IEL provides a wide array of educational opportunities to the people residing in our 12,300-mile, six-county district which includes Ferry, Lincoln, Spokane, Stevens, Pend Oreille, and Whitman Counties. The Institute for Extended Learning uses time tested and innovative educational delivery systems to give students, both urban and rural, access to learning opportunities they otherwise might not have.
