Will Currie & The Country French is a Canadian indie rock band from Waterloo, Ontario, consisting of singer and pianist Will Currie, guitarist Dan Beacock, Fender Rhodes and percussionist Steve Wood, drummer Aaron Mariash, bassist Daniel MacPherson, and Amanda Currie on vocals and saxophone.

Biography

Will Currie & the Country French was originally conceived in the early part of 2006 as a few songs written in a small glass room in the basement of the Music Faculty at Wilfrid Laurier University. Will later assembled a small troupe of friends (and luckily wicked-bad musicians) to form an actual band. They began to tour around southern Ontario and over the course of a year, developed a fair amount of indie-buzz and an enthusiastic cult following. Their piano pop and energetic stage shows have resulted in packed clubs and dance parties wherever they play.

Their debut EP "A Great Stage", was released in early 2008 under the Murderecords music label.
