Roommates is a show created by Iron Sink Media for MySpace. It is sponsored by Fresh Look contact lenses and the Ford Motor Company.

The show centers around the lives of 4 main characters called the "In Town Roommates" and 4 secondary characters called the "Out of Towners"

SUMMARY

Roommates's is an online dramedy that examines a group of college roommates who come to LA to begin their lives as adults. A reality show producer has made a deal with a social blogging video site to document their journey. The characters believe that they will be able to maintain their extremely codependent relationships like they had in college. The Roommates videotaped their pranks and hook-ups during their dorm years throughout their off campus house adventures with care free abandon. But when the pressures of professional careers and artistic aspirations mix with the voyeuristic documentary cameras; the bonds of committed friendships are severely tested.A unique combination of raw and voyeuristic "reality show" segments, confessionals, and college flash back footage; drive the real time story. Regularly scheduled interactive chats and events keep the audience involved, and meaningfully effect the direction of the story.

BACK STORY

Four years ago a college dorm suite of eight women forged a bond that would carry them though college. They moved around campus like a sorority, although they had no use for an affiliation that would demean anyone. They viewed themselves as the good 'guys' of the world; the dreamers and doers. They are loyal; believe in their convictions and love and play intensely. Their unique bond lasted for four years, from the dorm years through their off campus house Senior year. But, everyone eventually has to graduate. That's when four of the Roommates responded to request from a friend to come live in a house where their lives would be documented.
