Richard Taylor (missionary)

Richard Taylor (May 21 1805 – October 10 1873) was a C.M.S. missionary in New Zealand. He was present at the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, but is perhaps most notable for the numerous books he wrote on the natural and cultural environment of New Zealand in his time.cite web|url=http://www.teara.govt.nz/1966/T/TaylorRichard/TaylorRichard/en|title=1966 Encyclopaedia of New Zealand|accessdate=2008-03-08]
