census of 2000,GR|2 there were 259 people, 84 households, and 66 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 26.6 people per square mile (10.3/km²). There were 94 housing units at an average density of 9.7/sq mi (3.7/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 38.61% White, 58.30% African American, 3.09% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.47% of the population.There were 84 households out of which 25.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.4% were married couples living together, 21.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.4% were non-families. 17.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.08 and the average family size was 3.47.
In the town the population was spread out with 26.6% under the age of 18, 10.4% from 18 to 24, 23.6% from 25 to 44, 22.8% from 45 to 64, and 16.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 87.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.0 males.
