Solar System Sciences

He gave observational evidence for that small impacts evolve the shape of asteroids toward a spherical form. The time scale of this evolution is ~1-2 billion years. Within a group (with SDSS collaboration) estimated the number of Trojan asteroids which has been resulted to be as much as all asteroids in the Main Belt. He examined the presence of large colored spots on the surface of asteroids; he had observed comets that were active at large (>3 AU) heliocentric distance and published photometry asteroids.

Stellar Astrophysics

From 1997, he participated in variable star and stellar pulsation studies, and has been a member of the the Szeged Bright Supernova Observing Group [http://titan.physx.u-szeged.hu/~sn/] .

Together with Krisztián Sárneczky, he is a discovered of 5 asteroids: (31872) Terkán, (38442) Szilárd, (82656) Puskás, (117086) 2004 LZ23, (157141) 2004 PO1. He also wrote popularizing works in Hungarian.
