Global Animal Health

The Global Animal Health (GAH) platform is a European Technology Platform initiative to improve the competitive situation of the European Union in the field of animal health. GAH was launched on 16 December 2004 in Brussels as an initiative to tackle major animal diseases in the developing world and in Europe.

The programme is a joint initiative (Public-Private Partnership) of the European Commission, representing the European Communities, and the industry. The main objective of the programma is to produce a Strategic Research Agenda (SRA).
