Station layout

This station has two side platform that face each other. One of them is put stuck to the station building and connected to another with an underground pathway.

Manned, and has a waiting room, manned ticket gates, automatic ticket vending machine, boarding proof dispenser and a simple Suica ticket gate.

History

*March 30, 1935: Opened along with opening of Itō Line between ja-stalink|Atami and ja-stalink|Ajiro.
*November 1, 1958: Discontinued freight services.
*April 1, 1987: Along with divistion and privatization of JNR, East Japan Railway Company started operating this station.
*June 22, 2007: Midori no Madoguchi was closed.
