The Iowa–Iowa State rivalry is a collegiate rivalry between the
University of Iowa andIowa State University and their athletic teams, theIowa Hawkeyes and theIowa State Cyclones . The two universities currently compete with each other in theHy-Vee Cy-Hawk Series , which awards points for athletic victories over the other university. The two schools also compete for theCy-Hawk Trophy , which isannually awarded to the winner of the football game between the two schools.Iowa and Iowa State rank as the top two universities in
Iowa in terms of enrollment.
