Fiona Wade

Fiona Wade (born 20 March 1979) is a British actress.

Wade has had an extensive career in British theatre and television, and is perhaps best known in the United States for her role as Anya Vicenze on the TV show "24Seven" (2001-2002).

Among her theatrical credits are Princess Jasmin in "Aladdin", Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet", Maria in "West Side Story", Gujarati Preethi in "Strictly Dandia" and the title roles in adaptations of "Cinderella" and "Miss Saigon".

In March 2005, she took on the role of Princess Anjuli in the West End musical adaptation of M. M. Kaye's "The Far Pavilions". Her British television credits include the roles of Joanna Day in the long-running children's drama "Grange Hill", Julianna McKenzie in "Holby City" and the recurring guest role of Decca in "Doctors".

In 2006 she starred in ITV1 Sunday night drama "Where the Heart Is", as Rowan Clayton. Despite being 27 at the time this was Wade's third schoolgirl role - and one which required her to wear the uniform. Her fourth role as a schoolgirl, complete with uniform, was in two episodes of "Waterloo Road" as Sameen Azizi, the daughter of a family who came to the UK illegally. In spite of the best efforts of Tom Clarkson and Danielle Harker to keep Sameen here, she accepted she had to go home back to her own country with her family and gave herself up to the immigration officials.

In 2008 she played Mamta in a play called [http://www.royalcourttheatre.com/whatson01.asp?play=481 "Alaska"] at the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Upstairs.

Wade sang the 2008 UK National Baha'i Festival theme song. [ [http://www.divinenotes.com/albums/UKNationalBahaiFestival/368CF070-0BFA-8AE0-DE79-B05321ECDF2F Downloadable Bahá'í-Inspired Music - UK National Baha'i Festival] Album Title: UK National Baha'i Festival, Artist: Fiona Wade]
