As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 1,542 people, 671 households, and 465 families residing in the CDP. Thepopulation density was 2,168.6 people per square mile (838.5/km²). There were 700 housing units at an average density of 984.4/sq mi (380.7/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.65% White, 1.30% African American, 0.06% Native American, 1.88% Asian, 0.13% Pacific Islander, 0.39% from other races, and 0.58% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.01% of the population.There were 671 households out of which 26.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.4% were married couples living together, 7.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.6% were non-families. 27.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.29 and the average family size was 2.79.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 21.6% under the age of 18, 3.6% from 18 to 24, 23.6% from 25 to 44, 28.1% from 45 to 64, and 23.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 46 years. For every 100 females there were 92.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.2 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP was $50,000, and the median income for a family was $64,034. Males had a median income of $43,107 versus $27,000 for females. The
