Krishna Pal

Krishna Pal (1764 – 1822) was the first Indian convert to Christianity due to the missionary activity of William Carey, the founder of the Baptist Missionary Society, and his co-workers.

Krishna Pal was born in Calcutta. After his conversion and baptism in the River Ganges in December 1800, he renounced his caste.

Krishna Pal preached the gospel for twenty years before his death.
