Mari Gorman Born September 1, 1944
New York CityMari Gorman (born September 1, 1944) is an American actress perhaps best known for her work in television. One of her first major roles was as murder victim and mob pawn Taffy Simms on the soap opera The Edge of Night, in the 1970s.
Another notable role was as PTA member, Vivian Washburn, (who was semi-friendly with Barbara Eden's character of Stella Johnson) in Harper Valley PTA, a series based on the song and movie of the same name. She still makes various appearances in movies and TV, and featured in the Barney Miller Show, in various roles, including as an amateur prostitute housewife (in Series 4 Episode 3, "Bugs") and as a police detective with a jealous husband (in Series 4, Episode 18, "Wojo's Problem").
