Kirkby Underwood is a hamlet comprising of 80 households located around four miles north of Bourne in southern Lincolnshire, in the district of South Kesteven.

The hamlet [ [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/227473 hamlet] ] is situated around half a mile west of the main A15 trunk road. To the east is Rippingale and the Fens; directly to the south is the hamlet of Stainfield and to the west Hawthorpe. Between the village and Hawthorpe, near Callan's Lane Wood [ [http://www.forestry.gov.uk/website/wildwoods.nsf/LUWebDocsByKey/EnglandLincolnshireKestevenForestCallansLaneWood Callan's Lane Wood] ] (run by the Forestry Commission), are a pair of radio masts [ [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/412287 radio masts] ] and a BT microwave transmitter.
