C-Train light rail system inCalgary, Alberta .This stop was the original terminus for Route 201 until the Northwest Line opened in
1987 . Until the West Line to 69 Street Southwest opens in2012 , Route 202's western terminus is at this platform. In addition, some Route 201 trains going southward start trips here. It is located at the western end of the free fare zone.Unlike other platforms on the 7 Avenue Transit Mall, this one is in the centre of the street, and is embedded between the tracks.
The 10 Street SW platform is one of three downtown platforms slated for decommissioning as part of Calgary Transit's Seventh Avenue refurbishment. The station underwent a design study in
2006 , and at that time was chosen as the next of the downtown stations to be rebuilt and expanded to handle four-LRV C-Trains. Although current plans suggest that it will ultimately be relocated one block to the west of its present location and changed to a sideloading platform similar to all other downtown platforms, construction of the new station was deferred in2007 until the westward extension of Line 202 begins, which contingent on capital funding may occur as soon as2009 . A short walk from the platform is the Telus World of Science (Calgary Science Centre),
Mewata Armoury , Kerby Centre (a major seniors facility) and Shaw Millenniumskatepark .Greyhound Canada provides a shuttle service from the station to its bus depot.References
