56th Reserve Infantry Battalion (Ireland)

56th Reserve Infantry Battalion (Ireland) is a newly formed infantry battalion, born of over 5 years of planning, review and implementation. The 56th is composed of the old 16th, 17th and parts of the 19th Battalion which was amalgamated in October 2005.
