Simon Turner, born November 21, 1954, in Dover, Kent, is an English musician, songwriter, composer and actor.

After portraying Ned East in the 1971 TV adaptation of Tom Brown's School Days and other roles in films such as The Adventures of Black Beauty, Simon Turner quickly rose to fame as British teen star thanks to his mentor Jonathan King who released his first album in 1973. He appeared on several magazine covers but fame declined by the end of the 1970s. In the 1980s, he released several singles on el records as The King of Luxembourg, many of them having been given airplay by BBC Radio DJ John Peel. In 1990 he released an album on Creation Records.

In the 1980s Simon Turner started to record film sountracks, most notably for Derek Jarman's Caravaggio. He also composed the complete score for William Eggleston in the Real World as well as for David Lynch produced film Nadja. Many of his soundtracks were released on CD.

He occasionally works as actor. He portrayed Dr. Gilbert in the Oscar nominated movie The End of the Affair.

Simon Turner continues to record albums for Mute Records as Simon Fisher-Turner. He lives with his wife and daughter in London.
