Born in 1966, in the agricultural region of
Buin, Chile , Victor Alejandro Diaz Lamich had a peaceful childhood, which was brutally interrupted by the1973 Chilean coup d'état against thedictator Pinochet . His family moved toQuebec inCanada .He traveled across Canada and
United States , but it is the rediscovery of his native land, "this newChile post-dictatorship" where he made his way back to his origins and his culture. Therefore, his existence is made up of travel. His work inorganic chemistry environmental science makes travel aroundSouth America , devoting all his energies to major environmental problems. Everywhere acamera went with him and soon thephotography became his only passion.Work
His career takes off as a freelance journalist at the famous cultural magazine Voir Montreal and then collaborates with Chatelaine magazine, Elle Québec, Magazine Québec, Drums, etc. He now works regularly with
The Canadian Press and is the official photographer at theNational Film Board of Canada (NFB).
