destroyer , launched in 1943 and struck in 1974.* USNS "GYSGT Fred W. Stockham" (T-AK-3017) is a "1ST LT. Harry L. Martin"-class container &
roll-on roll-off ship, built as MV "Lica Maersk" in Denmark, and delivered for commercial service circa 1980. She was acquired by the Navy in 1997 and placed in service under theMilitary Sealift Command (MSC) as USNS "Soderman" (T-AKR-299). She was renamed USNS "GYSGT Fred W. Stockham" (T-AK-3017) in 2001.
