- Hearne family
The world of
cricket has been blessed by the influence of several families, none more so than the Hearne family. The Hearnes are arguably the greatest, unarguably the most numerous, of all cricketing families. Twelve of them playedFirst-class cricket , including five for Kent and five for Middlesex.In addition to this the grandson of H.Hearne, E.W.Sturgess and the son-in-law of G.F.Hearne, F.A.Burton also played first class cricket. F.A.Burton was the son of G.Burton, another first class cricketer.
