Mark Spears (born June 20, 1975 ) is an American comic book artist born in Huntsville, Alabama and primarily known for his work with DC Comics and Marvel Comics characters, most notably the line of Marvel Comics Statues based on his artwork produced by Corgi International Limited
Biography
Mark Spears' first published comic art was penciling Ultiman #1 under the Image Comics brand in 2002. After the release of Ultiman #1, he was employed managing a new upstart 3D animation studio. After many years working in 3D animation, he started working in the comic field again in 2006. Since then he has worked for DC Comics on Justice League of America and DC Legacy Card sets as well as creating concept art for Batman statues and figurines produced by Corgi International Limited. Spears has also worked for Marvel Comics on Spider-Man, X-Men, Wolverine, Fantastic Four, and the Women of Marvel card sets. A line of Marvel Comics Statues were produced based Spears' artwork and style.
Besides being a comic artist, Spears is also known for his religious artwork worldwide.
