Mark Everett (fugitive)

Mark Everett (born September 28, 1969), born as Manuel Benitez [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0263553/] , is a former American child actor in Hollywood films. He is currently a fugitive wanted by the FBI for the bludgeoning murder of his wife in 2004.

Childhood

He was only nine years old when he began his acting career. He was fairly successful, starring in commercials, TV shows and movies. His roles included parts in "Be Somebody... or Be Somebody's Fool!", "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" and "Stand and Deliver." He also appeared in the TV shows, "Galactica 1980" and "Highway to Heaven."

Marriage

Everett hadn't done any major acting work for eight years when he met Stephanie Spears in 1996. The two moved in together and had one child, Benjamin. Everett never told Spears, her family, or anyone else about his former days as a child star. Police report that he was also hiding the fact he was now a drug dealer. While Stephanie was excelling in college and winning scholarships, police report that Everett became more and more involved in the selling of marijuana.

Everett's prior convictions include a conviction for possession of a concealed and illegal loaded firearm in his son's stroller that led to probation.

Murder of wife

His wife eventually found out about this and decided to end the marriage. On the night of June 20, 2004, Father's Day, while she was asleep, Everett tried to leave with their son. She woke up and tried to stop him. Everett then allegedly picked up his dumbbell and beat her numerous times, killing her in front of their child.

As of 2008, Everett remains an international fugitive. He is believed to be with his son Benjamin and his mother Elizabeth Velasco.

Personal

He is Caucasian, also of Hispanic descent and speaks fluent Spanish. He claims to speak German, French, and Cantonese. Because of his language fluency, he could be hiding anywhere in the world. Everett's height is 5'10" and weighs approximately 220 lbs. He has brown hair and possibly wears a goatee.
