Kendrick J. Dean better known by his production name WyldCard, is an American Grammy Nominated musical composer, and record producer. He has co-written and co-produced singles including: Chris Brown's "Say Goodbye"; Danity Kane's "Ride For You"; Bobby Valentino's "How Bout It"; Toni Braxton's "Trippin'"; Mary J Blige's "Refections" and Kelly Rowland's "Bad Habit". Dean has been professionally producing since 2004, receiving his first formal credit on 2004's "Destiny Fulfilled" by the R&B Houston-based group Destiny's child.

History

According to the 2007 July 23rd issue of Billboard Magazine, Kendrick "WYLDCARD" Dean is a prominent member of today's elite group of songwriters and music composers. Accompanied by 3 Grammy nominations and a Billboard #1 record (Chris Brown - "Say Goodbye") thrives to build legacy like so many entertainment and cultural visionaries before him (Quincy Jones, Steven Spielberg and Sidney Poitier).

Although his journey into the world of music started as a child, Dean got his first big break when cousin and Grammy winning producer songwriter Bryan-Michael Cox acknowledged his talent and invited him to produce for his Blackbaby Entertainment production label.

Today many seek the creative contributions of this Miami, FL native. His cliental reads like a music industry who's who list and includes mega stars Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, and Destiny's Child.

It doesn't stop there, Dean has ventured into film scoring and has music in last years holiday blockbuster "This Christmas" starring Chris Brown, as well as the 2006 summer sash "Step Up" He also scored his first commercial; a 50 sec PSA for The United Nations World Food Program which was narrated by NFL star Dhani Jones.

Community

Kendrick Dean, who grew up in Miami where he played in the Jazz Band, lead his Orchestra section, and held positions as Senior Class President, High School Mentor, and Yearbook Visual Artist. Dean also made many friends, was a man marked by a distinctive set of goals, attitudes and ambitions.

Through volunteer organizations Kendrick reached out to kids across the country from neighborhoods just like the one where he grew up. Dean would remind them that they don't have to leave home to get an education, but that the world was bigger than the ride downtown to the local park. He tried to teach them to respect what can make them better and that they can achieve what seem like impossible goals.

When asked about his service to the community, Dean quoted "Had it not been for my volunteering stint, I would still have lived with nothing but excuses. Excuses for not doing what needs to be done, excuses for not seeing what needs to be seen"
