Soft aspect (astrology)

Soft aspect (astrology)

In astrology, a soft aspect (also called a harmonious aspect or easy aspect) is an astrological aspect that is considered to be beneficial in a horoscope. Traditionally, easy aspects were considered to be the sextile and the trine because there was an easy flow of compatible and harmonious energy between the two planets that form an aspect to each other, which is because they are posited in compatible signs. Some astrologists think that there will be times when easy aspects cause an individual to not want to apply himself or overcome obstacles that are presented to all of us during the course of our lives, so easy aspects can at times bring about just as many difficulties as the hard aspect, such as the opposition or square aspect.

In financial astrology the soft aspect is deemed to make it easy for the stock and currency markets to go up, and harder for them to go down. Whilst hard aspects have the opposite effect. Then there are periods that there are none of the exact major aspects, and the stock and currency markets remain flat.
