Performance Audits

The Camino Nuevo Correctional Center was recently audited by the American Correctional Association (ACA).

Corrections Corporation of America’s Camino Nuevo Correctional Center received a perfect score in an independent audit conducted by the American Correctional Association (ACA).

Following the two-day audit, the Center met expectations in every category, "receiving a 100 percent score for compliance" in 58 mandatory and 408 nonmandatory standards. The ACA audit team will now recommend the facility for accreditation, which will be voted on in early 2008.

“The score is a good reflection of the administration and staff,” said Ted Lempke with the ACA audit team. “I don’t recall any question being asked of the staff that they didn’t know the answer to. You could gauge the outcome [of our tests] just by that.” [ [http://www.businesswire.com/portal/site/google/index.jsp?ndmViewId=news_view&newsId=20071128006120&newsLang=en Camino Nuevo Correctional Center Gets Highest Possible Marks in Independent Audit, Nov. 28 2007] ]
