Amnun ( _he. אַמְנוּן) is a workers'
moshav in theUpper Galilee in northernIsrael . It belongs to theMevo'ot HaHermon Regional Council and HaOved HaTzioni (part ofHanoar Hatzioni . It is located in theKorazim region, north ofKfar Nahum and theSea of Galilee and east ofSafed .The moshav was founded in 1983 for evacuees of former Israeli settlements in
Sinai after the peace agreement between Israel and Egypt, and for people in neighboring moshavim, by theJewish Agency .The name is based on the
Tilapia fish, which is called "Amnon" in Hebrew, and which lives in the nearbyKinneret lake.70 families live in the moshav.
