PR 1 starts in Ponce, and ends in San Juan. The route connects important cities such as
Caguas ,Cayey andSalinas . It is divided from Caguas to San Juan in a segment known as "La Muda", which is famous in the island for its large numbers of junkers, decor shops, car dealers and motels. Fact|date=June 2008It has several intersections with major highways such as PR 10 near
