rockabilly band fromSanta Cruz, California consisting of Sinner (vocals/standingdrum s), Shelby (guitar ) and Brett (upright bass). The band has coined the phrase "Revved-Up Rockabilly" to describe their wild upbeat blend ofrockabilly ,psychobilly , old punk,teddy boy , andsurf music genres. The Chop Tops have toured frequently with theNekromantix and headline their own national tours. The band was formed in 1995 by Sinner and original guitarist "Flyin'" Brian. Shelby joined in 1999 and the band became a trio in 2000.
