Thomas Braddell

Sir Thomas Braddell (1823 - 1891) cite web | url=http://www.igas.org.sg/irish-people-in-singapore.php | title=Irish people in Singapore | publisher=Irish Graduates Association of Singapore | year=2007 | accessdate=2008-02-16 ] was an Irish lawyer, the first Attorney-General of Singapore.

He was born in Rahingrany, County Wicklow and called to the bar at Gray's Inn in 1859. cite web | url=http://www.agc.gov.sg/aboutus/history.htm | work=The Attorney-General's Chambers | title=History | publisher=Singapore Government | accessdate=2008-02-16 ] He took the role of Attorney-General of Singapore from 1 April 1867 to 1 January 1883. In 1883, his son Thomas de Multon Lee Braddell was himself Attorney-General and, with his brother Robert Wallace Lee Braddell founded the Singapore legal firm of Braddell Brothers.
