Biography
Dolores Gordon-Smith was born in Glossop, Derbyshire. She is married and lives in Cheshire with her five daughters.
Jack Haldean
Jack Haldean is the fictional main character of Dolores Gordon-Smith's books. Currently, he has appeared in two books, A Fête Worse than Death and Mad about the Boy?. Jack, when younger, wanted to become a pilot, and, in 1915 (aged only 16), he was accepted into the new service.
Jack's mysteries play against the tranquil Sussex countryside backdrop, each murder belying the seemingly mundane environment. So far, Jack has discovered a body in a fortune teller's tent, has unravelled a supposed suicide and has had to confront his best friend Arthur over his involvement in the murder of an obnoxious businessman.
Jack became a good friend to a police officer after trying to get information on a crime. He was later confided in about a huge murder, and this was to start all of which happens in the books.
