Hurricane Ernesto

The name Ernesto has been used for five tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean.
* 1982's Tropical Storm Ernesto - formed from a tropical depression southwest of Bermuda, tracked northeast for two days before dissipating without threatening land.
* 1988's Tropical Storm Ernesto - formed east of Bermuda and moved rapidly east, later absorbed by an extratropical low north of the Azores. There were no reports of damage or casualties.
* 1994's Tropical Storm Ernesto - formed southwest of Cape Verde, moved north for two days, then weakened to a tropical depression, dissipating the next day having never affected land.
* 2000's Tropical Storm Ernesto - a minimal tropical storm that lasted only two days, did not threaten land.
* 2006's Hurricane Ernesto - formed near the Windward Islands and briefly attained hurricane strength before making landfall in Haiti and Cuba, and also struck Florida and the Carolinas, killing at least 7 people.
