"Brookula contigua" is a species of minute sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Cyclostrematidae.

Distribution

This species is endemic to New Zealand's Three Kings Islands.

Habitat

This snail is found at depths of about 185 m.

hell description

The shell is minute, depressed-, rather widely umbilicate, sculptured with heavy axial ribs, about 19 on the body whorl, and distinct closely spaced, spiral lirae.

The species resembles "Brookula annectens", but is more depressed, has a wider umbilicus, and much heavier axials.

Shell height is up to 0.8 mm, and the width is up to 1 mm.
