Bob Dog

Bob Dog was a character on the long-running television program Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, where he appeared as a resident of the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. He was portrayed by Bob Trow, a handyman who built many of the original models in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe and also portrayed the characters Robert Troll and himself.

The character of Bob Dog was an innocent and friendly dog who would howl a lot, and was easily flustered, but who enjoyed support and friendship from many. If he perceived himself to have behaved poorly, for example - barking at one of the neighbors, he would put a bird cage over his head in embarrassment.

A Swedish Indie rock band has taken their name from this character, which in Swedish translates "Bob Hund".
