Mike Wissot

Mike Wissot is a political pollster and Fortune 500 market research guru. His firm, SymAction Communications, has offices in Los Angeles, CA and Washington, DC. Wissot is an adjunct professor of communication at Pepperdine University. He often appears as a political analyst for KABC (AM) talk radio and various television networks, covering the 2008 presidential campaign. Wissot has a weekly appearance on Al Rantel's "Political Shootout," and he serves as a guest talk show host on KABC.

Wissot was a visible figure during the 2004 presidential campaign while serving as a Vice President of Luntz Research Companies, responsible for the famous "Audience Response" focus groups depicting EKG-like lines to measure public opinion toward President George W. Bush and Senator John Kerry during their convention speeches. The technology measures how voter react, second by second, to individual messages. In 2002, Wissot was the Republican nominee for the 41st District of the California State Assembly. Between 2000 and 2006, Wissot was Managing General Partner of Dentistry.com, an online dental referral company, which he sold to 1-800-DENTIST in 2006.

Wissot received a BA from James Madison University in 1996, an MBA from the University of Arizona in 1998, and a MIM from Thunderbird School of Global Management in 1999.
