Feasterville-Trevose is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lower Southampton Township in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The population was 6,525 at the 2000 census. The ZIP code is 19053.

The Feasterville-Trevose CDP referred to by the U.S. Census Bureau encompasses a portion of Lower Southampton Township, but other sections of the township to the west and south are commonly considered parts of Feasterville, while the community of Trevose extends into Bensalem Township. The CDP is actually a relatively densely populated residential area between the two communities' central business districts.

Geography

Feasterville-Trevose is located at coor dms|40|9|5|N|74|59|7|W|city (40.151509, -74.985195)GR|1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.4 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 6,525 people, 2,578 households, and 1,776 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 4,909.4 people per square mile (1,894.2/km²). There were 2,649 housing units at an average density of 1,993.8/sq mi (769.3/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 94.39% White, 2.13% African American, 0.05% Native American, 1.99% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.41% from other races, and 1.00% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.28% of the population.

There is a significant Eastern European population, most notably of Russians, Ukrainians, and Polish peoples.

There were 2,578 households out of which 32.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.6% were married couples living together, 9.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.1% were non-families. 25.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.53 and the average family size was 3.06.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 23.4% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 35.4% from 25 to 44, 20.5% from 45 to 64, and 12.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 100.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.7 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $49,958, and the median income for a family was $57,301. Males had a median income of $38,681 versus $31,029 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $22,161. About 2.9% of families and 3.0% of the population were below the poverty line, including 4.0% of those under age 18 and 2.4% of those age 65 or over.

Events

The 2003 NCRHA National Championship tournament was held in Feasterville. College roller hockey teams came from around the country to be crowned the national champions at the division I, II and III levels. Cal Poly Pomona(CA), SUNY Binghamton(NY) and St Charles CC(M0) all went home with championships in their respective divisions.

Additionally, the ECRHA Regional Championships have been contested in Feasterville in 2003,2004,2005 and 2006. Feasterville will be hosting the 2007 regional championship tournament, making it the fifth consecutive regional championships that will be held in Feasterville.
