Roman Yevgenyevich Konoplev ( _ru. Роман Евгеньевич Коноплев), Russian rock-bard, publicist, political and public figure.

Biography

Roman Konoplev was born on 4 September 1973 in Bryansk Oblast, Soviet Union (now in the Russian Federation). In 1978 Roman and his parents (father – Konoplev Yevgeny Nikolayevich, mother – Konopleva Lyubov Mikhailovna (Tsigankova before the marriage)) moved to the town of Dnestrovsc, Moldavian SSR.

In the October 1992 he moved to Moscow and graduated from International Institute of Economics and Right – “political science” branch of juridical faculty (1993-1996).

On 9 May 1993 Roman Konoplev became member of Public-Political movement “Rossi” (leader – Yevgeny Biryukov) – organization which was part of National-Bolshevik front – the block of radical organizations of both left and right directions (leader – Eduard Limonov). He took part in opposition processions when being member of the movement “Rossi”. On 24 September 1993 Roman joined the defenders of the House of Councils who formed Militia commandant’s platoon of the Russian Supreme Concil. He left the House of Councils together with other defenders on the day of attack on 4 October 1993 at 5 p.m.

From the spring of 1997 till the summer of 1999 Roman gives concerts as rock-bard. In 1998 he initiated creation of Bryansk department of National Bolshevik Party(NBP). The organisation was mostly represented by students of Bryansk State Technical University and by representatives of rock-community of the city. On 1 May 1998 the first action was brought to life – youth procession dedicated to the 1st of May holiday. During the electoral campaigne of Bryansk head of Administration in the December 2000, Bryansk department of NBP privately supported the candidate of Communist Party of the Russian Federation. Roman Konoplev was arrested by the police for many times for popularizing his own newspaper "Ultra.Info.Bryansk".

In spring of 2001 Roman Konoplev was promoted and included to NBP Central Committee by Anatoly Tishin, working as the leader of NBP. From February till April 2002 he was one of the leaders of electoral headquarters and Eduard Limonov’s (Limonov – leader of the Party – was in prison at that time) authorized representative at the additional elections to State Duma of Russian Federation at Dzerjinsky constituency of Nizhny Novgorod area.

In summer 2002 Roman leaves for Transnistria. He takes part in organizing and conducting international forum “We - Russia” in Tiraspol. He is the organizer of NBP mass meeting near Moldovan Embassy in Moscow to support Transnistria. He is published as the expert in the problems of Transnistrian conflict.

In November 2002 he left his Party activities after the conflict with ledarship. In summer 2004 Roman was excluded fom NBP by Limonov for “anti-Party activities”.

In spring of 2003 he graduated from Bryansk State Technical University.

Roman Konoplev wrote a book of private and political memoirs “Gospel from Extremist” in February 2004. The book was published thanks to Avrom Shmulevich’s financial and informational support. The book is prohibited for sale by the Russian authorities.

In July, 2004 Roman Konoplev took part in the creation of non-governmental news-agency “Lenta PMR”, the 1st in the history of Transnistria. He appears on the pages of Moldovan governmental Media where he is called “Transnistrian Goebbels”, “ideologist of Transnistrian separatism”.

Roman travels in Scandinavia from February till September, 2006. Sketches “Norwegian papers” were first published in Russia. They were later many times republished by several foreign editions.

On 17 September 2006 on the day of Referendum for Independence of Transnistria and union with Russia Roman Konoplev returns to Tiraspol. He becomes the initiator of the procession Russian March in Tiraspol on 4 November 2006.

Roman Konoplev is the chief of News-agency [http://www.tiras.ru Lenta PMR] editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Russian Breakthrough” (“Russky Proriv”), co-author of the Manifesto of Breakthrough , organizer and participant of numerous political actions in support of international recognition of Transnistria.
