Alexander Henry (the younger)
- Alexander Henry (the younger)
:"Not to be confused with Alexander Henry (the elder) d. 4 April, 1824, who was also a fur-trader, and the uncle of this Alexander Henry."Alexander Henry (died 22 May 1814) was a Canadian fur trader and explorer employed by the North West Company. He is well known for his extensive journals which he started in 1799. They contain an excellent record from the early 19th century of the fur trade. Alexander travelled and traded extensively from Lake Superior to the mouth of the Columbia River where he died in a boating accident. His journals have yielded much material for historians and other researchers of that time period.
