The UK Entertainemnt Channel is an Internet Television channel based on the Isle of Wight. Programming started on 31 December 2007 [ [http://www.iwcp.co.uk/News/NEW_IW_TV_CHANNEL_READY_FOR_SWITCH-ON.aspx New Iw Tv Channel Ready For Switch-On ] ] . It's launch followed on from the collapse of Solent TV, previously transmitted from the Rowridge transmitter on the Isle of Wight on UHF channel 54 (735.25 MHz). It should be noted that Solent TV ceased broadcasting more than six months after UK Entertainment's incorporation. Currently, all programmes are recorded, and the channel has no studio facilities. However, they are interested in eventually covering local news for the Isle of Wight and Solent areas, similar to Solent TV.
