Veerasamy (Tamil: Veerasamy) is a low-budget Tamil film released in 2007. It failed to make an impact at the Kollywood box office. The film was fully made by veteran actor and producer T. Karadi Rajendar. This film shows the dubious talents of romance, action and emotion with dialogues he is famous for (e.g. "Dandanakka Dadunkanakka")

The Karadi acted as the hero in the movie. Together with him was Mumtaj. Although the movie wasn't a chartbuster, its songs were a hit due to the splendid dance scenes (including belly dance) by Karadi. Rumours have it that Karadi produced this movie to make a record by creating the biggest flop in the Tamil film industry, which he succeeded at.

Introduction

The movie is basically a political story with a tinge of love and more action. In the movie, the Karadi is a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). Unlike common corrupt politicians, he is very straight forward. The police and the government employees are made to work properly under the control of Karadi rajender.

tory

Basically the notion of the story is that if any problem occurs to public, Karadi is there to help them. Mumtaj falls in love with the Karadi and tries to marry him.

Meanwhile there is another character in the story, Sheela, sister ("Tangachi") of the Karadi. He generally opposes his sister's love for her childhood lover.

The sad ending of this movie is that due to some false witness, the Karadi is adjudged of involvment in corruption. On hearing this the Karadi dies of Heart Attack. He is not able to bear that shock and dishonour to his name. The major twist in climax is when the Karadi dies, Mumtaj, the true lover of Veerasamy also drops dead.

The movie is well known for its illogical scenes. For instance, there is a scene where Sheela ('Tangachi') speaks in support of the Karadi, saying that she will not sacrifice her brother for the sake of her lover. In the immediate next scene however, she threatens to elope with her lover if the Karadi does not consent to their marriage.

Aftermath

In the movie, the Karadi (and sexy Mumtaj) died in the end. Unfortunately before that several audiences in some cineplexes in Madurai, Chennai and Tiruchi were found dead due to unknown circumstances after seeing the movie. Postmortem reports confirmed that they died of boredom and frustration.

ongs

All the song tracks and lyrics for the songs were composed by the Karadi himself, resulting in it being a hit. Over 10 records were sold worldwide within the first month of the audio release. The Karadi was very happy with the outcome of the track "Varan paru Varan paru Veerasamy... Varan paru Varan paru Gundu Karadi..."
