- Levi Park
Levi Park (or Levi’s Plaza Park), a corporate owned park is by the Embarcadero, 1160 Battery St,
San Francisco . Designed byLawrence Halprin , for theLevi Strauss headquarters and divided by Battery Street into two distinct parts.Because of its location in the business district, the park provide a usable space for hanging out for the surrounding employees. The people work in the near place could take their quick lunch and enjoy the sunshine in the park. Due to the dense tree barrier, although close to the busy street of Embarcadero, the park is a quiet place and clean space. So it's a quiet little hideaway just steps away from the wharf and North Beach. The feature of the park is its grass, shady trees and fountain. The sod that covers the entire park is quite possibly the softest and well-manicured grass. The largely shady or limited sun exposure could provide a space for the people to enjoy their lunch or during their relaxed reading. Also, the trickling of the fountains provides a lovely soundtrack. They also have jazz bands come in for 2 weeks and play during lunch time.
