The Phyllis Rampton Narrow Gauge Railway Trust is a British charity collecting rare Narrow Gauge locomotives from around the world. It is registered with the British Charity Commission as 292240 under the classification of "Education/TrainingEnvironment/Conservation/Heritage". Policy and Objectives

The Trust's 2006 annual report states:

The objectives shall be to preserve, exhibit, display and loan for demonstration for the public benefit and for the advancement of technical, historical and general education, steam and other railway locomotives, rolling stock, equipment, machines and relics which are historical, operational and of general interest and in addition are of educational value. The objective of the charity is also the preservation, maintenance and promotion of narrow gauge railways.

The annual report confirms the PRNGRT trustees meet at least once a year. Collection

The PRNGRT has not yet revealed the full contents of their collection to the public. The trust is therefore subjected to speculation amongst enthusiasts as a result. Reports on www.uklocos.com [ [http://www2.webng.com/lrha/search-by-p-results.asp Search UKLocos Database & Display Loco Details ] ] suggests that the collection comprises the following locomotives listed below. To date a few locomotives have been seen at Aberystwyth (Vale of Rheidol), but the majority are understood to be kept at a private farm in Surrey. The trust also owns the RailGauge|1ft11.75in Vale of Rheidol Railway locomotives:
* No. 7 – GWR Swindon (1923) 2-6-2T "Owain Glyndwr"
* No. 8 – GWR Swindon (1923) 2-6-2T "Llywelyn"
* No. 9 – GWR Swindon (1923) 2-6-2T "Prince of Wales"
* No. 10 – Baguley-Drewry 002 (1987) 0-6-0DM
* CCE - Permaquip engineers' vehicle 0-4-0DM

Public Access

The locomotives are in storage near the Vale of Rheidol railway (Ceredigion) and at a private location in Surrey. Apart from the Vale of Rheidol locomotives the collection is not accessible to the public and the trust regularly refuses enquiries to view the vehicles in the collection.
