It is union council near to Qaim pur. it has been divided into 4 more parts which consist of Qutab pur, Noorpur,Alipur and Jamalpur. It is referred as Mouza Jamalpur. agriculture is the main source of food and living of jamalpur area.main crops grown here are cotton, wheat,sugarcane, animals rearing and growing fodders for the animals.jamalpur comes in the green belt of Pakistan.its soil is very fertile because of newly developed soil from the sutlej river drying. Transport of jamalpur is well connected to all adjoining areas like qaim pur, hasilpur,vehari and even lahore directly.it is too small town but it is well connected with all the areas near to it and all the areas of Pakistan by shifiting from bahawalpur and vehrai districts
