trail s and designatedroads , lanes, and surfaces, spanning 3924kilometres (approximately 2437miles ) as ofOctober 31 ,2007 , in the Canadian province ofQuebec , inaugurated onAugust 10 of the same year. The trail network includes both urban trails (for example, in and around the city ofMontreal ) and cycling routes into quite isolated areas in the north, as well as along both sides of theSaint Lawrence River , out to the Gaspésie region, and on the "Îles de la Madeleine", linking more than 320 municipalities along the way.
