He is currently the manager of the New York-Penn League's Mahoning Valley Scrappers, the short-season "A" level minor-league affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. From 2002 to 2008, Wallace played in Minor League Baseball with the Scrappers, Lake County Captains, Kinston Indians, Akron Aeros, Buffalo Bisons, and Columbus Clippers.
