- Kniveton Baronets
The Baronetcy of Kniveton of Mercaston was created by King James I in the Baronetage of England on 29 June 1611 for William Kniveton of
Mercaston Hall ,Derbyshire , who had previously been appointed aKnight of the Shire in 1603 and who wasMember of Parliament for Derbyshire 1604-1611 andHigh Sheriff of Derbyshire in 1587 and 1615.The Baonetcy was extinct on the death of his great nephew the 4th Baronet in 1706.
