Glen Hirshberg

Glen Hirshberg (born 1966 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American author of horror fiction. His works include the short story collection "The Two Sams", published in 2003 by Carroll & Graf; the collection "American Morons", published in 2006 by Earthling Publications; and the novel "The Snowman's Children", published by Carroll & Graf in 2002. "The Two Sams" was a Publishers Weekly Best Book of 2003.

"The Two Sams" was nominated for the 2004 World Fantasy Award for Best Collection, while a story included in that collection, "Dancing Men," was nominated for the World Fantasy Award for 2004 Best Novella; another story from the collection, "Struwwelpeter," had been nominated for the same award in 2002, and yet another, "Mr. Dark's Carnival," had likewise been the novella nominee in 2001. The collection also tied for an International Horror Guild Award for Best Collection in 2003, while "Dancing Men" won the International Horror Guild Award for Mid-Length Fiction; "Mr. Dark's Carnival" had previously been nominated for the 2000 International Horror Guild Award for Long Story. "American Morons" was nominated for the 2007 World Fantasy Award for Best Collection and tied for the International Horror Guild Award for Best Collection; "The Muldoon," one of the stories from that collection, was also nominated for the International Horror Guild Award for Mid-Length Fiction.

Hirshberg lives with his family in the Los Angeles area.
